You can get married as a foreigner, but it’s essential to consult with the local commune and possibly seek legal advice, especially if you’re dealing with international aspects. Ensure that you’re aware of any recent changes to marriage laws in Luxembourg, as regulations can evolve over time.
  2. Marriage License: You will need to obtain a marriage license from the local civil register, the Administration Communale in the commune where one of you resides. A notice of Marriage is needed, you’ll need to give notice of your intention to marry at the local register’s office; this is usually done at least 3 weeks before the wedding. If you or your spouse is a foreign national, you may need to meet additional requirements or get a certificate of no impediment from your home country.
